Lewisham Healthcare NHS Trust has identified the need for an additional Part Time/Full Time Consultant Community Paediatrician to support the existing team. This will equip the team to meet the increasing service challenges and to further develop areas of community paediatric services in Lewisham.

You will be joining a dynamic and experienced community paediatric team of consultants and specialty doctors providing a full range of community paediatric services. The recent merger of community health services and University Lewisham Hospital provides an exciting opportunity to develop improved care pathways for children and affords the community paediatric team the benefit of close working with excellent hospital colleagues and the range of clinical, support and educational services based at UHL.

The post will be for a period of six months in the first instance, pending confirmation of a substantive appointment.

The post holder will be based at Kaleidoscope – Lewisham Centre for Children & Young People which is the first of its kind in England to provide a comprehensive range of integrated services for children and young people who have a disability or significant additional mental health, social care or education needs.
