Specific Job Description: Seeking a SG3, self-starter engineering professional with an advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering who is proficient with continuous-time and discrete-time estimator and control system analysis and design, and possesses the ability to take control systems from their design phase, through algorithm development, software implementation, hardware software integration, checkout and test. Candidate must be equally comfortable performing the analyses, and working with hardware and software in the laboratory, both development hardware and software, and potentially flight hardware and software.

Candidate should have a strong background with MATLAB, Simulink, one or more real time operating systems, and one or more programming languages, preferably, C, or C++, particularly as they apply to the control of high speed, high sample rate precision aerospace mechanisms. Candidate should also be familiar with designing and using graphical user interfaces within MATLAB and/or Labview, and have familiarity with interfacing these GUIs with the real time code and operating systems.

Candidate must also be able to effectively communicate verbally, develop concise and professional technical presentation materials for peers, management, and customers; and to write well for supporting proposals, white papers, and technical publications. Candidate must be able to secure a government Secret Clearance. An existing secret, Top Secret, or SCI clearance is a plus.

Standard Job Description: Designs and drafts systems of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls for machines and equipment, such as arc welders, robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers, applying knowledge of electricity, electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Designs linkage of conductors, relays and other components of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication devices, using drafting tools. Diagrams logic system for functions.

Typical Minimums: Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
