The Electrical Wiring Systems division of Legrand, has an opportunity available for a Fitting Welder lead position in their Pico rivera, CA facility supporting the Cablofil brand.

Qualifications:
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Diploma (GED), Certificate in Welding
Experience:
A minimum of 5 year experience MIG welding and experience in a lead or supervisory role. Experience with precision measuring tools(caliper, micrometer, measuring tape).
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Basic reading and writing in English/Spanish.
Excellent math skills able to add and subtract fractions.
Able to communicate effectively with others must be bi-lingual English/Spanish.

Supervisory experience preferred.

Experience in operating hand and power tools common to the welding trade.
Able to differentiate between the following; [Material types (stainless steel, aluminum, plain steel and galvanized), Different tray shapes (flanged in/out, solid fit, solid corrugated), Different Rung types]

Experience welding various metals (Aluminum alloy 5052/6063, 18-8 stainless).
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Able to stand the entire work shift.
Able to perform repetitive job functions; hand mobility, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling, able to work a flexible work schedule, manual dexterity required for operating MIG gun and other tools

Computer experience with MS office and/or SAP.
Ability and applied knowledge in the Fitting welder job description.
Position Attributes:
Ability and knowledge in operating semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using a MIG weld process.

Demonstrates leadership in Safety related issues.
Follows production schedule to meet work order delivery dates ensuring efficient use of labor.
Experience welding various metals.

Ability to weld in flat and vertical planes.
Monitors the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts to prevent warping, shrinking, distortion or expansion of metals.
Responsible to examine work pieces for defects and ensuring a quality finished product that conforms to customer's specification.

Tracks Overall Equipment Effectiveness through an Excel database.
