On 1st September 2011 South Staffordshire Primary Care Trust, along with NHS Stoke on Trent and NHS North Staffordshire, formed Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Partnership NHS Trust.

Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Partnership NHS Trust is looking to recruit a Head of Financial
Accounting who will be responsible for the completion and timely submission of the Trust's annual financial statements and other in year financial returns. The postholder will be responsible for the Trust's banking arrangements including the development and implementation of a cash management strategy and cashflow forecasting and reporting, and the design, issue and regular review of Financial Procedures.

The postholder must constantly review the service provided by the Shared Business Services to ensure it is appropriate, efficient, and cost effective for existing and future NHS Finance regimes, and to ensure compliance with statutory and internal reporting requirements.

Candidates must be educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) and be CCAB qualified or hold a relevant post graduate qualification. Candiates must have extensive experience working with the Financial Management Function of a large organsiation and have experience of working within a Finance Department within the NHS.
