An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Ophthalmology Department for a full time Intravitreal Therapy Service Co-ordinator.

The successful candidate will be responsible for: ensuring that Intravitreal Therapy activity (for wet macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusion and diabetic macular oedema) is captured and monitored within the Health Board in line with national standards, planning and setting up additional services as required, overseeing the smooth running of the service, and ensuring that the service has good communication links with the Hywel Dda Health Board and the Welsh Assembly Government. The post holder will also be responsible for undertaking administrative, data collection and audit duties within the Ophthalmology Unit.

The main service is based in Amman Valley Hospital, however this is a new, exciting and evolving service which in the future is likely to have some activity in Pembrokeshire and possibly Carmarthen / Llanelli.
